Family member can’t access iCloud+... any ideas?

I have iCloud+ set up for my family, and all members are supposed to have access. Everyone is shown as using the storage except one family member. On their iPhone (running iOS 16.5), iCloud+ isn’t showing under Shared subscriptions. Has anyone dealt with this before or know what might be wrong?

I’d have them check if they’re still on their own personal iCloud+ plan. If they are, they might need to switch to the family plan manually.

Good call, I’ll have them look into that. Seems like it could be the issue.

In iOS 16, they can go to Settings > Family > Subscriptions and tap iCloud+. Then, they should see an option for ‘Use Family Storage’.

If that doesn’t work, you might want to contact Apple Support. They can usually fix these kinds of subscription issues quickly.

Yeah, if nothing else works, we’ll reach out to them. Appreciate the suggestion.

Had the same issue. Turned out they were still on the free 5GB plan. Once they switched to the family plan, everything worked fine.

That’s probably what’s happening here too. I’ll have them check their plan.

You might also want to check if their iPhone needs a system update. Sometimes these bugs happen with older versions of iOS.
