Are Casetify phone cases worth it? Here’s my experience

Just a heads up… don’t waste your money on Casetify phone cases.

Nobody asked for this but:
$100 Casetify case after a few months:

What’s good:

  • Decent protection (while it lasted). It’s a thick case that kept my iPhone 15 Pro safe. But it made the phone feel bulky, almost doubling its thickness.
  • The design was a collaboration with an indie artist and was super cute.

What’s not good:

  • Way too thick. I got the iPhone 15 Pro to have a slim phone, and this case ruined that. It felt like carrying a brick in my pocket.
  • Poor quality. Within 3 months, the MagSafe magnets started sticking to the back of my phone when I removed the case. Taking it off was annoying because I had to reattach the magnets each time. I was always scared I’d lose them.
  • Around the 6-month mark, the corners started peeling, and the whole case fell apart shortly after.
  • For $100, I thought I’d get at least a year or two out of it, but nope… just 6 months. That’s like renting a case for $17 a month. Ridiculous.

Now I’m on the hunt for a MagSafe case with cute designs that will actually last.

This company sounds terrible. Didn’t they copy the JerryRig Dbrand skin too? Hope they’re getting called out for it.

If you want something that lasts, try Spigen.

I’ve had a Spigen case since January. I’ve dropped my phone so many times, and both the case and phone are still in perfect shape.

Peel cases are great too. I have a thicker bumper one that still looks brand new after a year. Their ultra-thin ones are insanely thin, almost invisible. Those do stretch out over time, but they replaced mine for free when it happened.

Didn’t you list thickness as both a pro and a con?

$100 is way too much though.

Yeah, it’s a bit of a love-hate situation haha.

I wouldn’t spend more than £10 on a case. That’s enough to get something decent.

My Casetify case lasted about a year before it fell apart, but the print started wearing off after 6 months. Definitely wouldn’t buy again.

The screen protector I got from them, though, was surprisingly durable and held up well.

Terrible case from a company that steals other people’s designs.

Q stands for questionable quality.

I bought two Casetify cases for $50 each. One was leather, and the other had a clear ‘iPhone guts’ design. Both were disappointing. The clear one looked like a cheap print slapped on the back. Ended up going back to Apple cases. Never buying from them again.

ESR, CSL, and Spigen are better options. Same quality for way less money.

I’ve been using Torras cases for years. Highly recommend them.

Had a Casetify case a couple of years ago. After 5 months, the design started peeling, and the case warped. Never again. If you like a case that doesn’t have MagSafe, you can always stick MagSafe stickers on it.

Where I live, we usually just buy knockoffs for about $10. They last 6 months to a year, which is fine for the price.

I spent $60 on a Tech21 case, and it’s been great. Super durable, feels solid, and works with wireless charging. Worth every penny.

They have cute designs, but the price is just ridiculous.

That’s crazy. I’ve got $5 cases from discount shops that last way longer than that.
