So, I was feeling a bit off, almost like I was coming down with something, and thought maybe it was just in my head. But then I got this notification from my Apple Watch, telling me that my heart rate, respiratory rate, and wrist temperature were all higher than usual during sleep!
Honestly, I’m amazed at how accurately it picked up on these subtle changes! This thing feels like a mini doctor on my wrist, lol.
That’s pretty impressive! I’m almost looking forward to getting sick just to see if my new Apple Watch 10 notices.
Luckily, I teach 5 and 6-year-olds, so it won’t be a long wait.

I laughed so hard!

HAHAHA. Same here about waiting to get sick.
This reminds me of a guy in r/garmin who had a heart attack, and his stats were crashing well before it happened.

Holy shit, where’s the post?

This has happened to me a few times. I tend to do some ‘solo activities’ before bed. A few times my watch has been like, ‘Are you okay? ’ It makes for a good laugh afterwards.
I had the same thing happen; I tested positive for COVID the next day.
It’s amazing! I use a S9 myself, and it’s really accurate. It warned me about my illness about 2 days before it happened. I’m so glad I wear this thing to sleep.
It is good, isn’t it? Mine picked up abnormalities after:
a) getting combined flu and COVID vaccinations. Makes sense.
b) a good night out. Oops.
I also got an alert that something isn’t normal from the Vitals tracking app. I was out drinking a lot of beer with friends, and in the morning, I received a message that my heart rate was higher than usual while sleeping. The next 4-6 hours were spent throwing up everything I drank or ate. Thank you, Apple Watch, for letting me know the next few hours would be hell on earth!!!
Which Apple Watch do you have? I’m debating whether or not it’s worth upgrading from my Series 5, but I’m not sure given how few things I do with it.
Which watch are you using, OP?
Must have stayed up late watching the election results.
I get exactly the same three outliers when I’ve had a drink!
I notice this every time I wake up with a hangover.
Pretty accurate, I’d say.
What’s the oldest version of the Apple Watch that has this feature?
COVID is still a thing.
My watch only picks up heart rate, respiratory rate, and sleep, but no wrist temperature or oxygen.
