Same, I have my 12 mini. Maybe I should get a 13 mini now, since they probably won’t make them again!
(And to the people saying ‘nobody bought them’: They sold 2 million of them.)
In 2021, the year the 13 mini was launched, Apple sold over 230 million phones each year. So 2 million sold (not sure the time frame for that) would be less than 1% if that number is yearly. Since I’m guessing, that 2 million is for all 13 minis, as a percentage of all iPhone sales it’s nearly zero if rounded to 3 decimal places.
I have a 13 mini and will use it for a few more years.
Yeah, I based my estimate on the fact that 3% of 13 sales were mini (I was trying to estimate from that %, since they never announced specifics).
My point is that even if it was only 3%, saying ‘nobody bought one’ ignores the millions that did. And if your figure is correct, that would actually be about 7 million a year.
That might be a small percentage, but it’s not a small number.
I was going to trade in my 13 for the 16 but I doubt I’ll get much for it now.
Website currently shows $250 for a base 13 towards a 16. Not much, but better than I expected.
I saw that after watching a video on the 16. I’m just going to get the 15. What about you?
If you care about Apple updates and features, DO NOT BUY THE REGULAR 15. They won’t get that update. Plus it has a 2-year-old chip and only 6 gigs of ram compared to 8 in the 16. So if you plan to keep the phone for a while, you might notice slowdowns.

The new chip and battery life were the only things I liked about the new iPhone. I don’t care about the new features or the Apple stuff. 16 feels like a beta version of what 17 might be, especially since not all the new stuff will be available at launch.

If you can wait until next year, I recommend it because:
iPhone SE 4 launching probably in May if you want to save money
Base iPhone 17 models will have ProMotion display
iPhone 17 Slim is launching
iPhone 17 Pro will have smaller Dynamic Island (under display Face ID)

I actually prefer the 12 Mini because the notch on the 13 Mini sticks out more (not as bad on the standard phones of course). Either way, both feel like products of the past. I really hope the new iPhone SE delivers.
