For those wondering if an iPhone 15 with a case can survive a 100ft drop onto concrete… yes, kinda.
The front screen is fine, but the back took a serious hit.

That’s rough… at least you can still use it.
Yeah, it runs a little warm now, but good thing I have AppleCare. Getting it fixed tomorrow.
100 feet? Were you on the roof?

Nope, I was storing boxes. The top shelves where I work are about that high when I’m in the lift.

Ohh, that makes sense.
There’s a warehouse near me, but I never realized they were that tall. Might just be hard to tell from outside.
@Noel
That looks more like 40ft, not 100ft.
Most of these places are around 36m high. I worked somewhere similar, and that’s the standard.

If you stack people up, there’s no way that top shelf is 100ft.

That looks more like 10-15m at most.
Yeah, I probably overestimated. Just felt like 100ft.

Happens. I used to think a 70ft drop was way more until someone measured it with a tape. Perspective is tricky.
@Noel
Cool.
Dropping an iPhone is always a gamble. Either the back shatters, the screen dies, or it somehow walks away with just a scratch.

Exactly. My iPhone 12 hit the floor from barely a foot up and the whole screen shattered.
@Noel
That’s what I mean. You never know what you’re gonna get.
@Noel
My 12 mini has been thrown off my bed more times than I can count and still works fine. Guess it depends on the landing.
As expected, the camera lens is fine. I still don’t get why people use those lens protectors… just makes photos worse.

I 100% agree. This just proves it’s all marketing.

The lens is sapphire, so it’s pretty hard to break because it’s so small.
