I keep noticing a green border around options on my screen. Ran multiple tests, and everything seems fine. I’m using the latest update (18.3). If you try checking in a dark room with low power mode off, you might see it too.
Sounds like an issue with the screen driver. It could be sending the wrong voltage, making some pixels light up weirdly when options pop up. Happens more in dark rooms because even a tiny power leak can show up.
@Yan
Try checking if this happens in all apps. If you’re in a cold room, warm up your phone and see if it changes.

It happens in Reminders and iMessage, but not in WhatsApp or Instagram. Low power mode reduces the effect. Even HDR videos have blacks that look more grey/green. But with low power mode on, it’s gone.
@Adrian
Sounds like a rendering issue with some built-in apps. Your phone itself should be fine.
@Yan
Thanks for the info
Nope, mine looks fine.

Are you sure? Do you have the 15 too?
@Adley
Oh I even went to the store, and it passed all tests. If you don’t mind, could you take a picture from another phone like I did? Just to compare.

It’s not as green now, but there’s still some weird color banding around the options.

Some OLED screens do that. Nothing to worry about.
That’s called screen bloom. All OLED and AMOLED screens have it. Brighter pixels on a black background can cause this effect. It’s normal.
Does this happen when brightness is lower?

It happens at all brightness levels.
It’s more noticeable when options pop up on a black background, especially at high brightness.
Have you ever had your display replaced?
Had a similar issue on my iPhone 12. The whole screen turned green, and the borders stayed that way. Looked it up and found out it was a defect with the 12’s display. Kind of worrying that it’s happening on the 15 too, since I upgraded to avoid that problem.
Sounds like blooming. I see this sometimes, especially at night. Also, on 60Hz, some screen content wiggles when moving it, with a bit of a blurry haze. Your picture might be making it look worse than it is. The options probably have a greyish-green tint, but it could just be an OLED quirk.
