A few weeks back, I noticed my iPhone 16 heating up and a small bulge appeared after using the camera. Today, I was using some of the new AI tools in the Photos app, and it heated up again, only this time it swelled quite a bit. Is anyone else dealing with this?
No way… take it back right away.

Yeah, definitely taking it back as soon as I can.
Go back to the store ASAP. Don’t delay, just head straight there.

I did, but it’s a letdown, honestly.

Why’s it a letdown? They’ll probably replace it with a new one. Be glad it didn’t end in an accident.
@Case
True, lucky nothing worse happened. It’s frustrating since it’s brand new, and I’ll be without it for a few weeks.

Wait, so they’re not giving you a replacement on the spot? I wouldn’t be okay with waiting weeks.
@Luca
Same here .

I get it now… a bit disappointing. Hang in there.

Next time, maybe think about a Samsung.

Remember those Samsung phones that used to overheat? I’m good with my iPhone.

If this happens and I bought my iPhone 16 off eBay, can I still go to the Apple Store? Or should I reach out to the seller?
@Arin
Every iPhone has a one-year warranty for manufacturing issues.
@Arin
Just take it to the Apple Store.
You should post this in the section for swollen batteries.
Return it as soon as you can.
They’ll replace it if it’s under warranty.
Apple’s design with ‘AI’ at its best

Yeah, it’s bad at what it’s supposed to do best.
