Every time I use the default wallpaper, my phone acts strange. Anyone else dealing with this? Should I bother going to Apple about it?
Yeah, this is a known thing. A lot of people, including me, have the same issue. Your phone is fine, it’s just the wallpaper. If you switch to a different one, it stops happening.

I’ve updated iOS a few times since I got the phone, but the issue never went away. I was starting to think my phone was defective. Glad to know it’s not just me. Guess I’ll just ditch that wallpaper XD
Just change the wallpaper. Problem solved.
Not gonna lie, it looks kinda cool though.

Might be cool, but stare at it too long and you might get a seizure.

Yeah no, not cool at all lol.
Same thing happened to me, but only with the black wallpaper. I switched to the green one and it stopped.

That’s weird. I have the green one and mine still does it. My phone is the teal iPhone 16. What colour is yours?
@Ren
Mine is teal too. Maybe it’s something with the animation? I only see it when I unlock my phone and the wallpaper moves.

Yeah, it’s just a glitchy wallpaper. Most people don’t even notice, so Apple probably doesn’t care. They have bigger things to fix, like their AI.
@Ren
Lol
Stock wallpapers have been buggy since iOS 18. Apple will probably just remove them in iOS 19 like they always do and call it a fix.
Kinda sad that a phone this expensive has a bugged default wallpaper and they still haven’t fixed it.

I just downloaded a high-res version of the wallpaper and used that instead. No problems since.
Why does Apple never fix stuff like this?
Maybe it’s a hidden feature. Once it starts glitching, you just start dancing to the rhythm.
“Should I visit an Apple store?”
What do you think? Smh.
