3 days ago I was working in the yard and had left my iPhone 15 on the deck. I picked it up to check a plant I had pulled when I suddenly heard a man’s voice from my phone. I thought I had accidentally left a YouTube video playing, but there was nothing on. It sounded like a man talking through a car speaker, then I heard a crash, followed by complete silence. No call or video was active on my phone, and the sound came from the speaker used for calls, not the one for videos. At first, I figured it was just a glitch from an app in the background. But then a few days later, I heard a man shout ‘what the fck’ from my phone, and again, silence. Now I’m genuinely freaked out. Could this just be an app issue, or is there something more to it? I feel like I’m losing my mind here. Edit: I realize how crazy this sounds. I thought others might have experienced this glitch and get some answers, but instead, people are suggesting I have a mental illness or carbon monoxide poisoning. Fortunately, I have two CO detectors, and they seem to be working just fine. My husband heard the second incident tonight as well, so it’s not that.
Maybe it’s somehow connecting to something via Bluetooth?
Weirdest thing I’ve ever read. What the heck?
This happened to me years ago, but it was the voice of a guy I worked with talking about his jeep. Strangest thing ever.
I’ve had Bluetooth bleed over before, where people close by come through my headphones. But they have to be really close, and I don’t remember it ever coming through my phone itself, but maybe it can.
Someone needs a carbon monoxide detector.

Carbon monoxide does NOT cause this.

We have 2 and they’re working fine.
Sometimes I’ve had ad videos on Safari continue playing their audio even after leaving the app, but not closing it properly.

This, it could be an ad playing in your browser.
Lost in the matrix.
What kind of yard work? Make sure your gas tools aren’t clogged with exhaust…lol

Siri has officially had enough.
One of my friends experienced a similar thing. He heard a woman apologizing to someone, and then he lost his eyesight within a week.
There was a post not too long ago about something similar. It’s been a few weeks, though, so I don’t know how to find it.
It’s possible Siri heard something from the TV/radio that sounded like ‘Siri/Hey Siri’ and then activated. I’ve had this happen.

I was once listening to an audiobook, and when the narrator read a line that started with ‘Hey, seriously…’ it triggered Siri.
@Spencer
Yep, I’ve had similar. I have two HomePods in front of my TV, and whenever something on the TV sounds like ‘Siri’, one of them always lights up and I get a ‘mmm-hmm?’ from her.
