A brand-new iMac! Are you going to get one?

An iMac would be nice if my desk only had one computer on it, but it shares space with my PC so I need a monitor that can swap sources. Mac mini’s the way for me

I’ve considered an iMac on a VESA mount next to the PC monitor - but I still run out of space too fast on the desk.

If you can, try under desk. I got my studio mounted under my desk along with the kvm, makes swapping between it and my Linux gaming desktop feel so advanced and futuristic

A Mac mini will replace my 27” 2019 intel based iMac soon as well!

@Noor
Same here but I wish we could get 27” iMac…

@Noor
Only thing holding me back from a mini is the display needed.

It’s going to be 2025 in 2 months time… it should be 32" 6K.

I’m still on a 2012 iMac 27" 2.5K & I’m waiting for the 32"!

Finally 16GB as base but still pathetic 256GB ssd… in 2024 with 1500-1750euro price tag. Insane.

16GB/512GB base—16GB/1TB second and 24/1TB top. The manufacturing expenses would range 50-100usd max. Computers are just 10% of revenues so in total this won’t be significant impact. more people will be attracted and once they will they the apple ecosystem, they will buy more apple products.

@Young
I’ve done some side work for Apple and I can tell you they don’t look at it like this. They look at accessibility to demographics of people. If their bottom option is $100 or even $50 less, that circle of inclusion gets bigger. And the demographics in that circle include more of who low end products target.
